Description

RHIC, or The Residence Hall Improvement Committee. RHIC makes improvements to residence life accross campus from things like crosswalks to buying your building a pool table. If you would like to suggest any improvements to your residence hall, Email rhic@rha.gatech.edu with questions, comments, or for information on joining.

Past Projects

• Laundry Re-Bid - The laundry process is over and after working Housing and Auxiliary Services for the past year all new machines will be installed through outt campus in May. These machines will be of higher capicty and more energy efficient (they have already been installed in Woodruff, Brittain Rec, and Hopkins). We are also trying to implement a new laundry view system that would allow students to see free machines and the time left on your laundry.
  
• Crosswalk - We are working with campus facilities and the Gatech Police Department on getting a crosswalk paint across Ferst Dr. where the burger bowl path ends.
  
• West Campus Recycling - Begun in Spring 2003 in Woodruff Hall, the West Campus Recycling project is going strong and looking to expand later this year.

• Brittain Rec Renovation - As we're sure you know, Brittain Rec on East Campus has finally been renovated and is again a rec center! Complete with pool tables, arcade games, and love seats, we've gone all-out to make this a fun place for dwellers of the east side to relax and hang out. We've also replaced the study tables and chairs with sturdier fare.
  
• TVs Across Campus - have you noticed that most of our laundry rooms and traditional residence halls have TV lounges?
