:: Legislative Branch ::
The Legislative Branch works as the primary decision making body of the organization and as the source of information from the residents. This branch is composed of the East and West Campus Presidents' Forums, the Legislative Council, and the Hall Councils. The Legislative Council is composed of representatives from all Hall Councils on campus and is chaired by the Executive President. The Legislative Council brings issues and topics for discussion from the residents to the attention of the administration and the Executive Board, as well as establish all of the policies, procedures, and budgets of the organization. Lastly, the Legislative Council serves as the primary financial allocation authority for the organization. The East and West Campus Presidents' Forums are composed of the Hall Council presidents from the respective sides of campus. This group meets at least monthly to discuss and solve problems on their side of campus as well as work together to formulate plans for area-wide or campus-wide events. The Hall Councils are the foundation of the Residence Hall Association. These are essentially local forms of government for one or two buildings and work to host events for the residents of those buildings and to bring important news and issues to the attention of the residents. The Hall Councils are the primary connection to the residents and as such, the meetings are used to identify the needs of the campus and to address those needs whenever possible.
